Tell Me About It Tuesday [benihanas & wrinkles]
& I'm so excited for it!
last night darren & I went to benihanas with his brother jamie. can you say delish?! if you haven't been there.. go NOW! it's definitely one of our favorite restaurants. plus, if you sign up for their email club, they send you a $30 gift card for your birthday! that's a lot! not only is it delicious, but it's entertaining too!
after dinner we headed home to catch up on one of our favorite shows.. Dexter! anyone else watch it? we're more than a little obsessed. it's amazing! & of course we played with wrinkles!!!
i've gotta go make dinner now!

Weekend Update [halloween party & luke bryan]
Hey y'all!
this weekend was busy busy busy! but so much fun!
friday night was the luke bryan/jason aldean concert with one of my best friends, chloe! saying that it was amazing is an understatement. we had SO much fun. even with the freezing cold weather & getting rained on a bit. luke is beautiful & talented.... & jason is great too. next time either of them are in the houston area you can count me in! with better seats next time! ;)

Saturday was Darren & I's halloween party. & I'm sad to say that we won the "procrastinators of the year" award. we literally waited til the day of our party to do EVERYTHING. the only thing that we actually bought ahead of time were the decorations. we woke up at 8:30 on saturday & went to buy all the alcohol, pick up the keg, pick up the margarita machine, pick up the ping pong table & pick up the food. (all of these things were at separate places. I mean it.. every. single. one.)
so there went our saturday. ha. luckily the party was a success & it was worth all the money & rushing!

Sunday was spent recovering & nursing our hangovers. pretty sure we shouldn't have had all that [everclear] trashcan punch, margaritas, jello shots, beer & vodka shots! we definitely regretted it the next day!
we eventually got over the hangovers enough to go see "here comes the boom" at 9:15 at night & it was good! I'd recommend it if you wanna laugh!

saw it. pinned it. did it. [menu board]
I am so excited for this link up!
I absolutely LOVE katie's blog. As I've said before, her blog is what inspired me to start my blog so when I saw that she was doing this link up I knew I had to do it.
I've made a ton of things from Pinterest so it was hard to pick just one to post today but I decided since I just posted a recipe yesterday I'll go with a craft!
Menu Board:

It was super easy to make.
Supplies:
a frame (I got mine at michael's for $3)
a piece of scrapbook paper (I went with plain baby blue because I figured it would be easier to see the writing if the background was plain.)
letter stickers for the title and the days of the week
stickers (these are optional, but I love the stickers I used! I also got those from hobby lobby for $3)
I'm not going to list instructions because it's pretty self explanatory. I started typing the instructions and then thought, "this is ridiculous!" haha :)

Taco Pasta Recipe & My First Birchbox
Hey y'all.
first of all, I have a recipe to share that I make once a week now.. it's that good!
it's called taco pasta & of course I found it on pinterest, but I altered the recipe a bit since I'm so picky.
here you go:
Taco Pasta
Ingredients:
1 package medium shells
1 pound ground beef
3 ozs cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 package taco seasoning
1/3 cup reserved pasta water
1 clove garlic
salt & pepper
Directions:
Brown the meat.
Boil water for the pasta.
Add in salt & the pasta according to directions on package.
While the pasta is boiling, turn the temperature down to low and add the taco seasoning and garlic to the browned meat.
Drain the pasta.
Add the pasta, cream cheese, sour cream, salt & pepper & reserved pasta water to the ground beef.
Stir and let sit over medium-low for 3-5 minutes.

Now, on to my first birchbox :)
I was so so so excited when Darren texted me & said that my birchbox arrived in the mail AND that I had a surprise waiting for me.
Well.. my surprise was small but really sweet & thoughtful.
Darren made me a card & had it delivered in a cute envelope:
He said I was supposed to hang it on the back of the door so I never forget to kiss either of them goodbye! It was such a cute idea.
Then, I opened my birchbox!
I was excited for EVERYTHING in there. Once I have a chance to use all of it, I'll review it all!

Weekend Update
This weekend was pretty eventful.
It started out on Friday around two in the afternoon when I got a call saying that my mom was being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. I instantly called Darren to have him pick me up from work & we rushed to the hospital. Turns out she had an allergic reaction to something in the flu shot & was having a lot of trouble breathing & a tingling feeling was pulsing through her body. Her blood pressure was through the roof & her heart rate was crazy high. They pumped her full of medicine & told her to stay away from the flu shot [duh!] & she was able to go home about four hours later. I was just glad she was okay!
The only plus side of that situation was that I got to drive my mom's brand new jeep wrangler home ;)
After we knew she was okay, we headed to the mall to grab some dinner & do a little shopping. Then we went to bed early cause we had to wake up at six a.m. on saturday morning to go to the brand new outlet mall they built down in galveston! It was worth it. Underarmor was giving out a free gift bag to the first 200 people & we were numbers 182 & 183 :) Plus while we were there Darren bought me a new coach purse & I got a few new shirts & a leather jacket. I've been looking for the perfect leather jacket for MONTHS now & I scored one this weekend for $30!
Later on saturday we took Wrinkles to petsmart for their costume contest & he won second place :) we were so proud!
Then we went to see Alex Cross to support Matthew Fox since we LOVED lost! Umm... please don't waste your time or money on that movie! It was slow & didn't have very good acting.
Yesterday some good friends of ours got married so we attended their beautiful wedding & spent the rest of the day hanging out at home & catching up on our shows [aka dexter & the amazing race]
